Possessor of the Day of the Religion.
You alone we worship
and You alone we ask for help.
Guide us to the straight path;
the path of those whom You have blessed,
not of those who have incurred wrath,
nor of the misguided.” ~ 1:1-7
“Our Lord, and make us Submitters to You, and from our progeny a nation of Submitters to You, and show us our rituals, and redeem us. You are the Redeemer, the Merciful.” ~ 2:128
“I have submitted to the Lord of the worlds.” ~ 2:131
“We worship your God and the God of your fathers; Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac: One God, and to Him we are Submitters.” ~ 2:133
“We believe in God and in what was brought down to us, and in what was brought down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the tribes, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them and to Him we are Submitters.” ~ 2:136
“We are worshippers of Him.” ~ 2:138
“To Him we are devoted.” ~ 2:139
“We belong to God and to Him we will return.” ~ 2:156
O you who believe, seek help through patience and the Salat. God is with the patient ones. ~ 2:153
“Our Lord, grant us something good in this world, and something good in the Hereafter, and guard us against the torment of the Fire.” ~ 2:201
“We do not distinguish between any of His messengers, we hear and we obey. Forgive us, our Lord. To You is the ultimate destination.” ~ 2:285
“Our Lord, do not hold us accountable if we forget or make mistakes. Our Lord, do not place on us a heavy burden as that which You placed on those before us. Our Lord, do not place on us what we cannot bear, and pardon us, and forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Master, so support us against the disbelieving people.” ~ 2:286
“Our Lord, do not deviate our hearts after You have guided us, and grant us a mercy from You. You are the Grantor.” ~ 3:8
“Our Lord, You will gather the people on a Day about which there is no doubt.” God never breaks a promise.”

“Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us our sins, and guard us against the torment of the Fire.” ~ 3:16
“O God, Possessor of sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty from whom You will. You honour whom You will and You humiliate whom You will. In Your hand are all good things. You are Capable of all things.” ~ 3:26
“You merge the night into the day and You merge the day into the night. You extract the living from the dead and extract the dead from the living, and You provide for whom You please without count.” ~ 3:27
“We are God’s supporters. We have believed in God and bear witness that we are Submitters.” ~ 3:52
“Our Lord, we have believed in what You have brought down, and we have followed the messenger, so write us among the witnesses.” ~ 3:53
“The guidance is God’s guidance. All favour lies in the hand of God; He bestows it upon whom He wills.” ~ 3:73
“We believe in God, and in what was brought down upon us, and in what was brought down upon Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the tribes, and in what was given to Moses, Jesus and the prophets from their Lord. We do not distinguish between any of them and to Him we are Submitters.” ~ 3:84
“Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our excessiveness in our affairs, and secure our foothold, and support us against the disbelieving people.” ~ 3:147
“Our Lord, You did not create this in vain, glory to You, so guard us against the punishment of the Fire.” ~ 3:191
“Our Lord, whomever You admit into the Fire, You have disgraced, and the transgressors will have no supporters.” ~ 3:192
“Our Lord, we have heard a caller inviting to faith: ‘Believe in your Lord,’ so we believed. Our Lord, forgive us our sins, wipe out our bad deeds and end our lives among the pious.” ~ 3:193
“Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. You never break a promise.” ~ 3:194
Implore God for His favour. God is Knowledgeable of all things. ~ 4:32
“Our Lord, take us out of this town whose people are oppressive, and grant us from Yourself an Ally, and grant us from Yourself a Supporter.” ~ 4:75
“Our Lord, we have believed, so decree us to be among the witnesses.” ~ 5:83
“Praise be to God who created the heavens and the earth and ordained the darkness and the light.” ~ 6:1

“My Lord has guided me to a straight path, a correct religion, the creed of Abraham. He was a monotheist and was not of the idol worshippers.” ~ 6:161
“My Salat, my worship practices, my life and my death, are all devoted to God, the Lord of the worlds.” ~ 6:162
“Shall I seek other than God as a lord, when He is the Lord of all things?” ~ 6:164
“Praise be to God for guiding us to this. We would have never been guided had God not guided us.” ~ 7:43
“Our Lord encompasses all things in knowledge. In God we trust. Our Lord, decide between us and our people with truth. You are the best of deciders.” ~ 7:89
“Our Lord, pour upon us patience and decree that we die as Submitters.” ~ 7:126
“You let whom You will be misguided through it, and You let whom You will be guided. You are our Ally, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best of forgivers.” ~ 7:155
“And decree for us in this world that which is good, and also in the Hereafter. We have turned to You.” ~ 7:156
“My Ally is God, the One who brought down the Book, and He looks after the righteous.” ~ 7:196
“Nothing will befall us except what God has decreed for us. He is our Master. In God the believers should trust.”

“Praise be to God who has not taken a son, nor does He have a partner in the sovereignty, nor does He have an ally out of weakness.” ~ 17:111
“Our Lord, grant us a mercy from Yourself and provide for us guidance in our affairs.” ~ 18:10
“Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. We will not call upon another god besides Him, otherwise, we would have uttered an outrageous falsehood.” ~ 18:14

“Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is unrelenting. It is the worst place of settlement and position.” ~ 25:65-66

and so it is He who guides me.
And He is the One who feeds me and gives me drink.
And if I fall ill, it is He who cures me.
And He is the One who puts me to death, then brings me back to life.
And He is the One whom I hope will forgive my wrongdoings on the Day of the Religion.
My Lord, grant me sound judgement and include me with the righteous.
And grant me an honourable mention among those who are to follow.
And make me among the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss.
And do not disgrace me on the Day they are resurrected.” ~ 26:78-87

“This is a favour from my Lord to test me as to whether I will be appreciative or unappreciative. Whoever is appreciative is appreciative for his own good. As for the one who is unappreciative; my Lord is Rich, Generous.” ~ 27:40
“My Lord, I have wronged myself, so forgive me.” ~ 28:16
“My Lord, because of Your blessings upon me, I will never be a supporter of the criminals.” ~ 28:17
“My Lord, save me from the transgressing people.” ~ 28:21
“May my Lord guide me to the right path.” ~ 28:22
“My Lord, I am in dire need of whatever good things you may bring down to me.” ~ 28:24
“Glory to God, and exalted is He far above whatever they associate with Him.” ~ 28:68
“He is God: there is no god except Him. To Him belongs the praise in the First and in the Hereafter. Judgment belongs to Him, and to Him you shall be returned.” ~ 28:70
“God is Capable of all things.” ~ 33:27
“But if you seek God and His messenger and the Abode of the Hereafter, then God has prepared for the good-doers among you a great reward.” ~ 33:29

“O God, Initiator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You will surely judge between Your servants regarding that in which they used to differ.” ~ 39:46
“Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.” ~ 39:75
“Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your path, and spare them the punishment of Hell. Our Lord, and admit them into the Gardens of Eden that You promised them, as well as the righteous among their parents, their spouses and their offspring. You are the Dignified, the Wise. And safeguard them from evil deeds. Those You safeguard from evil deeds on that Day are indeed those whom You have granted mercy. That is the great triumph.” ~ 40:7-9

“I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who does not believe in the Day of Reckoning.” ~ 40:27

“I have been commanded to desist from worshipping the ones you call upon besides God when the clear proofs came to me from my Lord, and I was commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.” ~ 40:66

“God is the Ally, and He brings the dead to life, and He is Capable of all things.” ~ 42:9
“In Him I put my trust, and to Him I turn.” ~ 42:10
“God will gather us together, and to Him is the ultimate destination.” ~ 42:15

“Only the One who initiated me shall guide me.” ~ 43:27

“All greatness belongs to Him in the heavens and the earth. He is the Dignified, the Wise.” ~ 45:37

“My Lord, enable me to give thanks for Your blessings which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do good deeds that You approve of, and grant me a righteous offspring. I have repented to you, and I am one of the Submitters.” ~ 46:15

“To God belongs the soldiers of the heavens and the earth. God is Dignified, Wise.” ~ 48:7

“He is the First and the Last, the External and the Internal, and He is Knowledgeable of all things.” ~ 57:3
“To Him belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and to God all matters are returned.” ~ 57:5
“Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us to the faith, and do not place any animosity in our hearts towards those who believe. Our Lord, You are Benevolent, Merciful.” ~ 59:10
“He is God; the One besides whom there is no other god. He is the Knower of the unseen and the seen. He is the Almighty, the Merciful.” ~ 59:22
“He is God; the One besides whom there is no other god. The King, the Holy, the Peace, the Believer, the All-Encompassing, the Dignified, the Powerful, the Proud. Glory to God, far above whatever they associate with Him.” ~ 59:23
“He is God: the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the Beautiful Names. Glorifying Him is what is in the heavens and the earth. He is the Dignified, the Wise.” ~ 59:24
“Our Lord, in You we trust. To You we turn, and to You is the ultimate destination.” ~ 60:4
“Our Lord, do not make of us a means for testing those who disbelieved, and forgive us. Our Lord, You are the Dignified, the Wise.” ~ 60:5

“My Lord, forgive me and my parents and anyone who enters my home as a believer, and the believing men and women, and do not increase the transgressors except in destruction.” ~ 71:28
“I call only upon my Lord, and I do not associate anyone with Him.” ~ 72:20
“He is the Lord of the East and the West. There is no god except Him, so take Him as a Trustee.” ~ 73:9
“We fear from our Lord a grim, distressful Day.” ~ 76:10

God, the Absolute.
He begets not, nor was He begotten.

from the evil of that which He created,
and from the evil of darkness when it settles in,
